The work behind buying a screw: MonotaRO's opportunity.

Buying a screw or a pair of work gloves also takes time: someone searches, requests a quotation and places the order. MonotaRO serves factories and workplaces where those small purchases happen again and again.

The purchasing work outside the price tag

A 28.85m-product range does not require every item on a shelf

A copper-edged paper path connects a screw and work glove with stock shelves and multiple workplaces

The next order changes how fulfillment is used

Sales grew faster than the cost of operating the fulfillment infrastructure. That is the efficiency change the 2025 figures establish.

An individual order becomes part of company purchasing

THE VIEW AFTER THE NUMBERS

What the numbers suggest

MonotaRO builds workplace relationships by bringing product searches together, combining stock with supplier sourcing and fitting into a company’s purchasing procedures.

In 2025, standalone sales rose 16.9% while logistics costs grew 8.6%, taking the logistics-cost ratio to 6.2%. Enterprise reached 32.9% of standalone sales, while adoption across individual workplaces remained incomplete.

Can an account somewhere in a company become routine purchasing across its sites? Behind the search for a single screw lie both the mechanism supporting MonotaRO’s growth and its next operating challenge.
