What the revenue depends on
- Stock
- Active merchants × fixed monthly charge
- Fee
- Processing count × processing charge
- Spread
- Revenue linked to payment value
The combination of charges depends on the contract. Under representative merchant contracts, GMO-PG also handles settlement to merchants; under direct merchant contracts it handles data processing. The arrows above do not show settlement or fee-payment routes.

Separate the year’s revenue by how it is earned
Actual consolidated revenue, year ended September 2025. All four bars use ¥ million, truncated below ¥1 million, on a common scale starting at zero. Payment processing value is excluded.

Keeping payments working supports the earnings
Reliable processing requires systems and support. The company describes a second-quarter system incident and includes ¥1.028 billion of one-time expense in its annual operating-profit bridge (results briefing, physical PDF page 7 and page 32). Repeated payment use produces revenue, while maintaining the processing service also incurs costs.

THE VIEW AFTER THE NUMBERS
What the numbers suggest
GMO-PG brings together work that merchants would otherwise handle with separate payment companies, connecting contracts, payment data and settlement. Understanding its income requires distinguishing the merchant base from processing counts and values.
In the year ended September 2025, fixed-charge and processing-related revenues grew, and the revenue mix within payment processing changed. About ¥21.8 trillion of processed payments shows the reach of that work. Separating it from the group’s own revenue and money owed to merchants reveals the business behind accepting a payment.
