Why does Miura offer a free four-hour boiler-room visit?
Miura makes steam boilers and related equipment for customers including factories, and supports their operation and maintenance. Steam made by heating water carries heat to production equipment. Its disclosures for the year ended March 2026 show U.S. group boiler manufacturer Cleaver-Brooks expanding services that examine how that equipment is working.
Check steam demand and the condition of the equipment
In its account of U.S. boiler operations, Cleaver-Brooks identifies shortages of qualified operators and gaps in knowledge and records about safety devices and settings. Shutdowns carry costs, making knowledge of equipment condition valuable (earnings briefing p.23).

Make steam and send it to production
The drawing shows boiler operation and steam supply. Miura’s MI system combines several boilers and changes the number operating with steam demand.
Examine equipment and report findings
The free overview visits the site and reports improvements. Calibration is a separate paid service that tests and adjusts instrumentation.
A conceptual view of equipment and service work, not a specific CBSS installation. It does not imply that calibration is included in the free visit. These are not operating or maintenance instructions.
Rebuild contact with customers who already have equipment
Cleaver-Brooks Sales and Service, or CBSS, is a group company primarily serving the U.S. Midwest. Miura’s presentation also describes the work of rebuilding its sales and service organization.

Reaching customers also requires organizational repair
Cleaver-Brooks joined Miura in May 2024. The prior year included only 10.5 months of its results, so the change in consolidation period also contributed to FY March 2026 Americas revenue growth. That revenue measure differs from the order decline above (briefing pp.7 and 20).
THE VIEW AFTER THE NUMBERS
What the numbers suggest
The free four hours are spent examining a boiler room and discussing opportunities for improvement. Calibration, equipment testing, parts and maintenance contracts create other forms of work around the same plant.
Miura’s U.S. business also needed to rebuild its ability to reach customers. People who understand the equipment have to reach the customers operating it. The FY March 2026 presentation shows both the practical work behind expanding services and the difficulty of rebuilding those connections.
Azbil combines sensors, valves and control systems to adjust airflow and when heating and cooling equipment operates. Alongside testing technology in its own building, it offers services that use customers’ operating data to propose improvements and assess the results. In the year ended March 2026, BA sales rose 5.1% despite lower new-building sales, and segment profit grew 18.6%. Control, renovation and service work continue after a building is completed.
