Ricoh Company, Ltd. · Year ended March 2026 (FY2025 in Ricoh reporting)

From copying pages to supporting the work around them.

Ricoh became familiar through copiers and printers, helping offices reproduce a page of paper. Its latest financial results show a wider role: services supporting customers' IT environments and workflows now generate more sales than Office Printing.

THE VIEW AFTER THE NUMBERS

What the numbers suggest

For the year ended March 2026, Ricoh’s Office Services category sold ¥1,009.3bn, more than ¥881.7bn in Office Printing. Printing remains large; not all Office Services sales are recurring subscriptions.

Recurring Office Services revenue was ¥419.6bn. Yet Digital Services segment operating profit fell from ¥32.2bn to ¥27.9bn, so Office Services growth coincided with lower profit for the broader segment.

From sensitized paper in 1936 to Ricopy in 1955 and office automation in 1977, Ricoh has widened its relationship with customer workplaces. The printing machine remains, while more of the business is about supporting the work surrounding it.

Beyond the alarm sticker: SECOM's expanding world of services.

In FY2026, SECOM generated ¥1,256.9bn in consolidated revenue and ¥160.3bn in operating profit. Security Services accounted for ¥660.6bn in external revenue; the remaining ¥596.3bn, or 47.4% (site calculation), came from other businesses including fire protection, BPO/ICT, healthcare, insurance, geospatial data and miscellaneous services. The security segment alone generated ¥123.8bn in profit before group adjustments, so a near-half revenue split does not mean a half-and-half profit split. From its 1962 founding and 1966 online monitoring to its 1989 Social System Industry vision, the group accumulated independent commercial businesses beyond guarding facilities.
