CONCEPT MAP

Three kinds of preparation for more output

The high-performance production plan presented in May 2026.

Supply high-performance productsSeparate the work done at factories
  1. Extend buildingsProvide space for further equipment
  2. Add equipmentIncrease production capacity
  3. Improve productionRaise productivity at existing sites

THE VIEW AFTER THE NUMBERS

What the numbers suggest

Nichias draws a distinction between factory space and equipment capacity. It supplies components that support cleanliness, insulation and sealing inside semiconductor manufacturing equipment and other applications.

Orders rose in the year ended March 2026, while sales and profit fell. Provide the space, operate the equipment and turn orders into revenue. Separating those stages makes the work of preparing for higher output, and profitability in the meantime, easier to see.

Optical-laser production lifts demand for JEOL’s beam writers

JEOL’s electron-beam writers are used in making the gratings in DFB lasers for optical communications. Spot-beam orders and sales rose in the year ended March 2026, while fewer mask writers were sold and industrial-equipment sales declined. Following what each machine patterns, and where it sits in its customer’s production process, reveals different demand conditions within semiconductor-related equipment.
