Hoshizaki Corporation · Year ended December 2025

When Hoshizaki's ice maker cools without making ice.

Hoshizaki makes ice makers and commercial refrigerators for working kitchens. Its January 2025 announcement describes cold control that cools an ice maker’s chamber without making ice when stored ice is detected and ambient temperature is above a certain level; it excludes the desktop model. The disclosures for FY2025 (January 1–December 31, 2025) lead from this temperature control into the equipment’s design and manufacture.

THE VIEW AFTER THE NUMBERS

What the numbers suggest

Hoshizaki builds temperature control, kitchen placement and easier cleaning into its equipment. It manufactures many variants through high-mix, small-lot, make-to-stock production, while information from sales and maintenance returns to development.

For FY2025, new and redesigned products introduced within three years accounted for 51.7% of domestic sales under the company’s measure; domestic natural-refrigerant product sales were ¥29.4bn. These differently scoped indicators show the reach of continuing to update products.

The chamber’s temperature, the way a door opens and how a filter comes out. Hoshizaki repeatedly turns such design choices into a wide range of equipment it can supply. That is a way to see the company through the machine.

Look at the next company

At DOWA, zinc-smelting residue becomes feedstock.

DOWA connects used circuit boards and smelting residues with processes that recover metals. Recovered volumes, metal prices, raw-material purchasing terms and mine earnings each affect profitability. In the year ended March 2026, Nonferrous Metals earned ¥6.9bn in operating profit and ¥19.6bn in ordinary profit. At group level, an increase in inventories reduced operating cash flow. Reading DOWA means following both the technologies connecting its processes and the materials and funding needed to keep them running.
