Read ANA's seats in kilometers.

An airline can supply fewer seat-kilometers and earn more passenger revenue. ANA did so domestically in the year ended March 2026. Aircraft size and distance, occupied seats and the revenue they earn appear as separate measures in its disclosures.

THE VIEW AFTER THE NUMBERS

What the numbers suggest

ANA combines where and how many seats it flies, how much passenger travel fills them, and the revenue earned from that travel.

In the year ended March 2026, domestic ASK fell 1.2% while RPK rose 4.3%. International yield fell 2.7%, but load factor rose to 83.0% and revenue per available seat-kilometer increased 1.9%. Cargo, meanwhile, recorded more weight alongside lower revenue.

Group operating income reached ¥217.4bn, while domestic profitability remained a structural challenge. Capacity allocation, occupancy, pricing and the cost of flying sit behind fleet and passenger counts. Read together, they reveal the work of turning an available seat into revenue and profit.
