Is UNIQLO still mainly a Japanese retailer?
Fast Retailing generated ¥3.4005 trillion of revenue in FY2025. UNIQLO Japan represented 30.2% and UNIQLO International 56.2%; together they were 86.4% of the group. So Fast Retailing is still overwhelmingly a UNIQLO company. What changed is the geography inside UNIQLO. International revenue was about 1.86 times Japan's and the store footprint was 1,725 versus 794. North America plus Europe generated ¥640.6 billion by site calculation, close to Greater China's ¥650.2 billion. Rather than becoming a different kind of company, Fast Retailing has taken one LifeWear operating system—products, stores, supply chain and customer feedback—and scaled it across local markets worldwide.
